"Well, here I am in London, Kentucky, my hometown. Actually, I grew up at East Bernstadt, Route 1. London is the county seat of Laurel County and East Bernstadt is up the road about five miles. I was born and raised on the banks of the Rockcastle River about 15 miles off the main road.
"I came along sometime after the Great Depression but for years we didn't know it was over. We weren't poor -- we just didn't have any money.
"Life was different then. But the people have not changed. They have always loved to eat good food and tell stories. I'm back home now to help them do just that.
"So join me for a visit."
